Homemade ice-cream

I love Sundays the most. Back in childhood it was the most depressing day in all the week because of doing homework an getting ready to the school (I have my own opinion whether school is really that good for you or not, but let’s keep it for another post).

So now Sunday is my favorite day of all week. Together with my husband we have a Sunday treat tradition – we cook/bake something sweet or more-effort-requiring and have a moment together while having a dinner – we also say something nice to each other. I can tell it really makes our evenings special, stoping the time for a while making me to remember what amazing, perfect, nice and loving husband I have.

Join us if you want – I will share my ideas every Saturday, so you could make your weekends special as well.

Last time I’ve made some ice-cream. No ice-cream machine, special tools needed, actually, only two ingredients for the base are required (to be honest – super fat and sweet). All other ingredients and toppings are up to you.

I will share my favorite – ice-cream with pistachios and black chocolate recipe.

You will need:

400ml of heavy cream (fat percentage is upto you, only thing that matters – it has to be easily whisked into hard peaks)

400g of condensed milkDSC_0052

My extra ingredients:

handful of pistachios (crushed)

a bar of black chocolateDSC_0040

Tools: whisk

Whisk the cream until hard peaks, mix the condensed milk in. Add extra ingredients of your selection. Put the mixture into a bowl with the lid (or cover it with aluminum foil) and put into a freezer for minimum 6 hours.DSC_0019

Take the bowl out of the freezer 15min before serving, scoop it with warm spoon.

Bon appetit!!
