For me making sandwiches is creative activity, because it is fun and combining different ingredients you can get the new taste each time. There are hundreds of ways to make vegetarian burger, but I prefer falafels. I will share some other options in the future of course.
For 10 burger size falafels you need:
1 cup of dry chickpeas
2 cloves of garlic
some fresh dill and parsley
salt and pepper to taste
1 tbsp of flour
1tbsp of potatoes starch
Soak your chickpeas into water for at least 8 hours. Blend them well into fine pieces but not until they get creamy (otherwise you get hummus). And finely chopped onion and garlic, add salt, pepper, flour and starch. Then mix in your greens. Heat your pan on medium, pour some oil to cover the bottom of the pan completely. Wet your hands in water and form your falafels. Cook them until both sides get golden. Take them out and put on paper towel.
Now it is time to make actual burgers. Each time we use different ingredients, so I cannot say that I have my special recipe. The crucial part is using homemade tomato sauce because it definitely makes a difference.
