One pot dish. Basically, it means you put all the ingredients together in one pot, turn on the heat and after specific amount of time your dinner is ready. I love the idea, but I never cooked anything that way.
Once, browsing the internet, I found this recipe, and I decided to recreate it. I have to say, it is a perfect dish for weekend much or dinner. We both really liked it. Only thing to keep in mind is the amount of calories in the serving, but that’s why I called it weekend dish.
I was not so sure about two things in this recipe – mixing raw onions with vegetables and spaghetti in one pot, and broccoli and spaghetti combination itself. I am giving a tip on first concern in recipe, and for the second one – you just have to try it yourself, because the taste is divine. I absolutely love it and I am definitely making it again.
For four servings you need:
handful of mushrooms
2 cloves of garlic
10-15 fresh asparagus
half cup of frozen peas
half cup of heavy cream
half cup of shredded parmesan cheese
200g of spaghetti
2-3 tbsp of oil
Pour some oil on the bottom of your pot and put your chopped onion. Then add all remaining vegetables chopped in big chunks, ant finely sliced garlic on top. Turn on the heat and let the onion to roast a little. Then mix all the vegetables together and add spaghetti. In order to mixing things better, I broke spaghetti in half. Poor a glass of water, add some salt and pepper, put on the lid and let it sit on medium to low heat until all vegetables and spaghetti softens. Then add heavy cream and let it incorporate well. After in 20mins in total the dish should be ready. Then add shredded cheese, mix it in and turn of the heat. That’s all!
